The global military burden\u2014the share of global gross domestic product (GDP) devoted to military expenditure\u2014increased to 2.5 per cent in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over 100 countries around the world raised their military spending in 2024.
